JUDGMENT OF THE EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNAL 25 The judgment of the Tribunal is that:
1. The Tribunal has no jurisdiction to consider the claimant’s complaints under section 188 of the Employment Rights Act 1996, as they were not lodged within the requisite time limits.
2. The claimant had no entitlement to a statutory redundancy payment, as he 30 was not an employee. He was not therefore entitled to apply, under section 166 of the Employment Rights Act 1996, to the respondent in these proceedings for payment of that sum.
3. The claimant’s complaints are accordingly dismissed.
