JUDGMENT OF THE EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNAL
1. The respondent made unauthorised deductions from the claimant’s wages under section 13 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 and the claimant is awarded the sum of FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS (£500) payable by the respondent.
REASONS Introduction
1. This is a claim for unauthorised deduction from the wages of the claimant. It was agreed that the respondent had deducted a total of £500 from the claimant’s wages. The claimant accepted that he had been at fault when an accident occurred to the vehicle he was driving in the early hours of 1 June 2025, and that the damage was greater than the deduction.
