REASONS Introduction

1. This is a claim of disability discrimination and non-payment of wages which is contested by the respondent. The issue of whether the claimant was a disabled person in terms of section 6 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Equality Act”) was to be determined as a preliminary issue at this hearing.

2. The claimant gave evidence on his own behalf. There were no respondent witnesses.
